fcitx-config-common software package provides graphic Fcitx configuration tool - common files, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install fcitx-config-common
fcitx-config-common is installed in your system.
Make ensure the fcitx-config-common package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep fcitx-config-common *
You will get with fcitx-config-common package name, version, architecture and description in a table
